Canadian
Domains Pricing:
Pre-
registrations are $22.95 US per year.
A note on pre-registration
term: CIRA has adopted a policy to set the registration renewal date based
on the original registration date of the .ca name. In general, names can
be registered for periods of 1 to 10 years; however, existing names,
during this pre-registration period, are to be charged for 1 year from
November 1, 2000 to November 1, 2000, PLUS the number of months required
to bring the registration from November 1, 2001 to the next anniversary of
its original date.
For example, a .ca domain
originally registered on December 5, 1999 will cost the sum of the term
requested by the registrant (in this example one year, $22.95), starting
November 1, 2000. PLUS an amount calculated to bring the
registration from November 1, 2001 to December 5, 2001. This amount would
be calculated by multiplying the number of days difference between
November 1, 2001 and December 2, 2001 (35 days) by $0.10; thus creating an
additional charge of $3.50 US. Therefore, the total charge for the
pre-registration of this domain name will be $29.45 US.
Note: Our daily rate is
$0.10.
In no event can a
pre-registration exceed 10 years, including the calculation to bring the
registration forward to the renewal date.
If your pre-registration is
not accepted by CIRA for any reason, you will be entitled up to a 90%
refund.
